I will answer...
I love this Barenaked Ladies song - "Call and Answer". I've been using my iPod as my crutch this week to help me get through some thoughts of mine. I actually came across this one after not having heard it for awhile. I used to listen to it in college a lot. It's funny how songs on my iPod can elicit memories regarding other times in my life.
I love music. It's helped me get through hard times in life. It's helped me get to a point where I can think clearly again. Many of the songs on my playlist are from years ago, but I still have an emotional attachment to them. There are also new songs that I've been able to mix into the playlist.
Some of this week's playlist, including new and old:
"Call and Answer" by Barenaked Ladies
"At the Stars" by Better than Ezra
"Heartbreak Warfare" by John Mayer
"Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum
"Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper (though I love the acoustic version with her and Sarah McLachlan
"Wait" by Sarah McLachlan
"Napoleon" by Ani DiFranco
"Why" by Annie Lennox
"I Stand" by Idina Menzel
"Living Inside me Heart" by Bob Seger
"Crazy" and "Sometimes" by Nine Days

Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame
Next stop in Cleveland was the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
Unfortunately, you cannot take pictures of any of the exhibits. Some of the coolest things I got to see were the Beatles original jackets, along with the Help! Exhibit, with things from the movie and the making of the movie. We also saw some very cool clothing and guitars from Queen, The Who, Aerosmith, the cone bustier that Madonna wore on the Blond Ambition tour, the "Eliminator" car, famous from ZZ Top videos; a John Mayer guitar, items from Pink Floyd's The Wall, and I could go on and on...
However, we could take pictures in the lobby area. And I happened to find a couple of awesome things to take pictures of. Such as...
The "Gwen" and "Moby" neon signs used in the "Southside" video collaboration:
The Weezer "W":
And, one of many artist created guitars around town -
We did spend too much money in the gift shop, buying t-shirts for each of us, a t-shirt for one nephew, a sippy cup for the other nephew, a poster, bottle opener...I think that might have been it. But, it was a good time, and I definitely would like to go back someday soon!

Playlist or Why We Clearly Don't Have the Same Taste in Music!
I've been meaning to do this for a few days, but have been sidetracked. Since I got my iPod back, I've been enjoying such songs as:
1) "Oh Sherrie" by Steve Perry
2) "Volcano Girls" by Veruca Salt
3) "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams
4) "Say it to Me Now" by Glen Hansard
5) "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" by Cake
6) "Delilah" by The Dresden Dolls
7) "No Air" by Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown
8) "Innocent" by Our Lady Peace
9) "Rock DJ" by Robbie Williams
10) "Napoleon" by Ani DiFranco
11) "I Am...I Said" by Neil Diamond
12) "Pork & Beans" by Weezer
This is just a small sampling out of the 3396 songs on my iPod. But, I love having it back!!!!

Oh joy!!!!
So, this AM - a transformer blew across the street, causing our power to go out at 7am. Neither of us got showers today (until I came back from my doctor's appointment and got one).
However, I think this happened for a reason. We never use our front door at the house, always going out through the garage. So, we had to use the front door this morning, and lo and behold, there's a UPS package in the door! I wondered if Eric was expecting something. Then I looked at who it was from - Best Buy!!!!
About two weeks ago, my iPod finally died. (R.I.P.) Eric went to buy me a new one when he got back from New Jersey, to learn that the extended warranty he purchased on my first iPod was still valid until Sept. 20 of this year!!!! So, I took my iPod in to get a new one, and the guy at the Geek Squad counter said I should be able to pick it up in a week. They would call when it was done.
Hm, funny how it got mailed. But, I feel complete again. I will have my tunes with me again!!!!!

A random hodgepodge of topics...
There may be no rhyme or reason to this post, except to get things off my mind that I keep thinking about...
I know, wouldn't I be great? Haha. Just kidding.
I think that's all for now - GO WINGS!!!!!
First, another friend of mine posted this, but I thought it was just another reminder of why libraries are so important.
Why shouldn't everyone have access to knowledge? Regardless of how much money any of us have, we should be allowed to have access to books, computers, movies, and all the other services our local libraries offer us. Knowledge should not only be for those who have money.
Second, I'd like to take a moment to advocate for who I think would be the best choice for Barack Obama to make for Vice-President. Please see the photo below.
I know, wouldn't I be great? Haha. Just kidding.
John Edwards would be the perfect pick, in my opinion. He's from the South, he has a blue collar background, he's a populist, and gosh darn it, people like him. I know what you're saying - it didn't work last time. Well, remember he was paired with someone who had about the charm of a wet rag. An Obama/Edwards ticket would be dynamite!!!
Third - I went into the Hot Topic store in Muskegon recently. As Eric and I were looking around, I heard this fantastic music they were playing. I asked one of the guys that worked there who it was, and it turns out it was The Dresden Dolls. Who are they, you ask? Apparently, a group that Ben Folds has produced, with two members, a female singer/piano player, and a drummer. I went out and bought their new CD last night, and I highly recommend it to you all.
I think that's all for now - GO WINGS!!!!!

Maybe I'll start something new...
I've always wanted to review books - probably because it would allow me to read most of the time for work....lol. So, over the weekend, I thought maybe I would start reviewing some of the books I've read. I have to work on it, but I think I might just do that. Watch for them in the future.
I drove back to Lansing from Muskegon tonight. Getting out of Muskegon and Ottawa counties was awful. There was a lot of blowing snow, and visibility was low. The worst part was when people would pass, and it would throw up even more snow. Luckily, I made it back alright, but I was worried about trying to make the commute. I didn't want to try in the morning, because I really didn't want to drive with a bunch of other people on the road with low visibility.
I didn't mean to write about this, but I just tuned into the Grammys, and Alicia Keys performed her song, No One. I LOVE this song. And not only is she a fantastic singer, but she's an amazing artist. To top off the performance, John Mayer joined her on stage. What an awesome performance.
