For those of you that know me pretty well, I'm usually a fairly avid reader. I read a good amount of books last year, and was pretty confident I would read quite a bit this year.
Well, I honestly have not been doing well. I haven't even finished a book this year yet. I'm hoping that I will finish the one that I am reading today, but wow, this is just so unlike me. Somehow, I have to find the time to read more. Recently, I've only been reading right before bed, whereas I'm usually reading after work, while watching TV, etc.
I'm thinking maybe I need to set a goal of books to read like I did last year - any suggestions?

I loved In The Woods by Tana French! I just finished it - and you can find my little review on my blog. www.bookwormzreader.blogspot.com
I also love all the Jodi Picoult books, anything by Stephen King, Wally Lamb or John Irving.
Good luck! :)
Yeah, I still have a few more Jodi Picoult books to read - and at your suggestion just requested In The Woods from the library!
Have your read "Water for Elephants"...I thought it was a great book and "Izzie and Lenore"...true story about 2 dogs....very, very good.
I have read Water for Elephants and loved it!
I haven't read the other one though - thanks for the suggestion!
My reading seems to be down this year so far as well. I had such high hopes too. Ho hum. Hopefully we will find our reading rhythm again soon!
Did you finish the book like you'd hoped?
I did finish! Stayed up until 11:30 last night to do so! That is no small feat since my cold has been causing me to sleep ALOT...
On to the next book - I'm already halfway through Merle's Door, so going to start there!
I have recently enjoyed Astrid and Veronika
by Linda Olsson, and in the past, If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things
by Jon McGregor
